When one looks at the statistics for global poverty, education levels or any of the other myriad of statistic-ized topics, the frame of billions of people, or millions or hundreds of thousands per day, it is all to easy to lose sight of the scope. These are not numbers that we experience in a day to day context and therefore have little meaning to us. Imagine the entire planet distilled to a population of one hundred. This is a simple number that pretty much any person can grasp.
