I step into the cage, and the ref gives my opponent and I the obligatory 'are you ready?' before the bell tings and shuts off anything other than the focus of the fight. It takes no time at all to get into the thick of it- I come in with a kick to his leg, he tries to return one to my body and misses as I slide back out of the way. I come in with a hard cross, and he reels for a moment and he catches me around the waist as he goes for the takedown. I start driving home as many knees as I can while still keeping my balance before he pushes me back into the cage- his head is buried in my chest and I start hammering body shots (and caught myself from spiking him in the back of the head with an elbow, which would be a bit of a no-no) I catch the end of an instruction from my corner- half a second too late as we start towards the ground. I wrap my legs quick and establish a tight guard- he goes to hit and I trap his arm, snapping my legs like a bear trap and catching him in a triangle choke. He tries a few futile defenses, and as a last ditch tries to give body shots to get me to let go (at this point he has no gas left to power the shots anyway) I distract his efforts with a few hard roaring shots to the face before giving the final wrench to finish the choke. The ref intervenes, and tells me to stop, and the open glassy stare of my opponent and the twitching of his body tells me the choke was successful enough that he blacked right out. The entire fight was about a minute long. I'll post up a video of it when I get the DVD in a few weeks. So, as of right now, I am 1-0-0 (and won the submission of the night too)
