well, this week I found out that the potential fight opporunity for me is now a definite go- it takes place on August 12th (and Id really be pleased as punch if anyone local came to watch) Because of this, I've had to up my gym time from Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, to every day, from about half past five to about eight thirty. The coach has already ramped the workouts up to eleven- every day this week I've been reduced to a quivering gasping mass. And before this, I'd like to add, that I figured I had better than average cardio- and it still kicked my ass. I got a preamble to the fight next week, something to sort of gauge where my stand-up fighting is at, and thanks to the win at the grappling competition a little while back, I was told I didn't need to prove myself in that. So, that looks like it will be a big chunk of my life for the next four weeks.
(thats how I got the toe wound, from pivoting on my foot while doing a kicking drill, just the sheer amount of them I was doing at the speed and power I was gunning for- just ended up tearing that baby open)

In other news, my roommate is a bit of a bitch. This is a person who leaves hair clumps in the sink when she cuts her own hair, leaves blobs of tomato sauce on the stove, gets hair dye (pink!) on the carpet and bathroom door, and who has cleaned the bathroom or kitchen thouroughly less times than I can count on one hand (and Ive been living here for like 7 months) but today, because shes gotten her hours at work scaled back, shes home and decides to clean up the kitchen a bit. But, she takes everything that was 'my mess' and puts it all on the kitchen table. After I've been cleaning her shit up when I do my cleaning, when Ive had to make five trips to the dumpster with her empty beer bottles (she has no car, and thus, no way to get to a bottle depot) because shes too lazy to take them out, after being the only one to ever purchase either toilet paper or soap for the bathroom, after god knows how many other little odds and ends Ive had to tidy up after her, like wiping up little ashes from her incense all over the fucking place to being the only one who apparently knows where the dumpster for the building is, based on the amount of times shes ever tossed a damned thing. So, now I have a bit of a dilemma, do I just hardline her and tell her to take care of her own shit, buy her own personal effects and lay down the law, or do I just let it slide for the time being and hope this shit was an isolated incident.

I will try to be around for a longer chat in the near future, as I'd like to hear more about this fight of yours.
