A few questions for you, about 2005...
--what were your favorite moments (they can big or sweetly mundane) of 2005?
The Vacations, Hawaii and New York. they helped take me away from the day to day shit of my existence- both physically and mentally. My performance in my first competition- it was a very motivating and heartening experience.
--favorite books, movies, articles, tv shows, live performances?
I read an average of 2 graphic novels and a bunch of comics a day for just shy of ten months, so it's really hard to pick enough to make a short list, although, I reall really love the Seven Soldiers stuff. Music is always in flux, and again, so much stuff that rocks- I suppose Im glad that
Sonic came around, seriously only radio station Ive heard in the last scads of years that I've felt is worthh listenin' to.
--what are you the most proud of in this last year?
How I did in my fight competition. Losing a bunch of fat I gained from a year and a bit of sloth,
--what do you forgive yourself for?
I try to live with few regrets, and the things I do regret I try and hold onto with both hands, to keep myself from making the same errors again.
--what are you deeply grateful for?
My family. They've helped me out a lot, even if they are a bit of a pain in the ass from time to time. I also really appreciate my friends, whether its just for good company to hang out and drink with, or to lend a sympathetic ear.
--what are the biggest differences for you between last December to this one? (example: are you in a different place geographically, spiritually, emotionally, physically; do you feel better, worse; do you feel more experienced at something?)
Last year I was in Toronto, this year I am not. I guess things feel about the same overall, I think where holes in my life filled up, something else hollowed out- I suppose it's all about equivalent exchange.
--did you have enough fun this year?
No such thing.
--did you say 'no' often enough?
I give in to vice far too easily to say no.
--did you say 'yes' often enough?
I think so, but I think it's not about me saying yes, but in opportunity saying yes back
Enough about the past-
A few questions about 2006...
--what excites you the most about this coming year?
Getting into some fights, in the ring hopefully.
--what new thing will you try (big or small) that youve never tried before?
Living with a female roommate. Yeah, I am aware that it means I probably shouldn't walk around in my underwear, but knowing myself, I probably will.
--what new commitments can you make to yourself?
Hit the gym more. Be a bit more social.
--what would this year have to include for it to end, in December 2006, on a fulfilled, happy note?
A lot. I'll just leave it at that
--what do you see yourself benefiting from doing more of... less of?
I should read more, and keep myself creatively motivated. Need to be less lethargic and complacent with things. Need to work on being less distancing with people, I guess it really amounts to nothing more than social laziness, and I should stop.
--any visions for this coming year for your expression or evolution?
I'm hoping I'll have a revelation or one of those realization/actualisations of hopes or dreams.
--anything that scares you that you know youre going to do?
Let my guard down for a girl.
--any new thing you can put into place that will support you better? New resources, friends, support system, romantic relationships?
Don't know anything specific. I suppose being financially secure would help with a lot, but who can't say that? I need to associate myself with people who inspire me.
--anything youd like to do less of, or stop doing altogether (that you wont beat yourself up for it you dont)?
Drinking coke and partaking of junk food. I swear Id be built like Bradd Pitt if it wasn't for my weakness for coca-cola.
