So I got back the results of the soil test from the lab. Holy shit, it's really fucking high. It is over the benchmark whhere the EPA says it has to be cleaned up. We are renting, so I need to find out who is responsible for that because we have a shitty landlord who does as little around here as he can get away with.
Now I also have to get the kids blood tested. Fucking shit, that sucks so much. But it's got to be done. Lead poisening can cause neurological damage, lowered IQ all kinds of developemental issues. Even delinquancy.
Fucking pollution. My kids are not safe in my backyard.
I hate renting. We still have a year and a half before we will be ready to buy a house. I am having a hard time waiting... Thinking, maybe we should move into another rental before then... but it would set us back in terms of buying. I don't know what to do yet...

Benni & I discovered Corn Mo when he was one of the opening acts at the They Might be Giants show we went to. At first we were both a little hesitant about him. But by the time he was done with his set we were sold. He was not just funny but I thought he had a great voice and at least a few of his songs touched a cord other than just being funny. Really, we were both quite impressed.
Anyway we both decided to list just Corn Mo in our favorite bands. Just as a lark because most people would have no idea who we were talking about. I am always surprised when people notice and say something,
I wish I were friends with him. I bet he is a blast to hang out with. We talked to him a bit after the show and he seemed very nice and was very funny.
