Sure. Some of the 'commentary' looked like spackle applied with a baseball bat, but the cringe-inducing moral grandstanding was at a minimum; it addressed the social costs of oil without making democracy out to be some kind of white man's burden; and even when the bad guys got some comeuppance, it didn't feel like smug intellectuals smirking at dumb conservatives. In short, it felt like a real political film, not a Michael Moore movie.
