Nothing's new that why I decided to update.
Though I did have an offer for an interview for a position at Securian, a financial planning company, this being in the SF Bay Area.
In my mind it would be a huge leap. Its an effort by my father to take care of me and get my career started. I tried being a stockbroker before, at a boiler room no less, but they sold it to me as a job where I schmooze at parties to get clients and I was a bit more sold on it.
Of course the father is advertising the 6 figure income I can make.
The thing is he is not even that supportive of me waiting perhaps until Spring, when I can rent my place, get a full 2 years out of my place when I sell, escaping the gains tax while scooping up some inevitable appreciation, cuz I can rent for only a year (condo rules). That would make it 2 years as I've owned since this Spring. Plus I can get my distance degree started at DePaul with some Winter Q live classes. And bone up on CFA material.
Its also crazy and a bit fast.
