I've recently returned home, and it means you have to move on from I've been for the last fifteen to twenty years. It's liberating, confining, scary, and dull. But most of all, to go home again and not be subsumed, you have to go back as an adult and leave your extended adolescence behind. Life is no longer so much about learning, and expanding, and...

Wow, thank you for that. I read it over several times. I can learn from that.
I will take it with me.

Love, of course,

It's surreal when you notice things like that, isn't it? How life changes, and how things affect you.

Well, my updating didn't work yesterday, so hopefully this will stick. Which it has, obviously, if you are reading this. However, if you're not then it didn't. And in that case you won't know that you're not because it hasn't, and I'll have to start all over again.

Right, so, times counting down. Things are moving ahead in the lab and with the wedding. It's...

I enjoy the site, but I don't freak too much if I can't get on for a few days. I like to read the journals...helps me live vicariously through others!

So I've been going crazy since I've been back from Ireland trying to get my lab ready and to take an exam for a professional society I've been considering joining. Sorry to be a poor updater. Other than that the wedding plans are going well. We've started meeting with a deacon, who is trying to inculcate us with the proper understanding of the sacrament. No...

I know, I felt really sad about the lizards too. I should've paid attention to the signs, though, and chosen Kevin, instead of Thomas for three more years. Hindsight is 20/20, though, and at least I learned some lessons.

I told my girlfriend we were going to visit a friend of mine in Philadelphia, and that we would spend a night at her parents on the eastern shore of Maryland. We Woke up in Philly, and my friend gave us directions to her parents. We took 95 to Baltimore. When we got to Baltimore I told my gal that I was taking 295 as...

We've moved in successfully. The closing went well. We bought insurance. It's all quite excellent. It's slightly frightening to buy a home, but in the end the mortgage feels like rent. The difference is you get it back and you can borrow against it. I now understand escrow. Strange, eh?!

Yeah, I'm probably not doing the dreads because I didn't know that you had to cut them out when you no longer wanted them. Oh well. I just want a change. Maybe black with white streaks or something.
vicky:
Thanks and thanks smile
I'm happy to see all is going well for you and your lady smile

I'm getting bored with things lately, although I'm excited about the big move at the end of the month, and about the wide array of statistical functions on Excel that I didn't know about. Why would you need to buy SPSS now?

I've never rented before. My mom gave me her house prior to this but it was a 2 bedroom ranch and waaay too small, so from what I've seen with rent and stuff around here I think we are waaay cheaper even with insurance and taxes and stuff.
peggy:
I was fine. Until the fucking seller decided he wants to wait until the 7th. We just found out today and are scheduled to close in less than 48 hours. WTF! Everyone is trying to talk him out of it.

Went to see the Curiosa festival last night. Robert Smith was like a shimmering, singing, soot-headed blance-mange. He is the Pavoratti of post-punk. Spider was great, In Between days was great. The scary thing was the last time I saw them was EIGHTEEN YEARS AGO in the summer of 1986. I really can't believe the same shit is still going on. Some current Suicidegirls, now...

check out teh awesomeness of evil.

this is a generic message to all of the people on my friends list. I have reached the point where I must accept the slackass nature of myself and accept that I will never respond to each person who told me happy birthday individually. so...this is like a memo. biggrin

if you told me happy birthday; thank you. IRL, no one did outside of family...so y'all just rocked my socks.

if you didn't tell me happy birthday...well. fuck off.

We're going to go forward with the condo purchase, and the wedding. Just before Christmas. It's all so cool.

I want everybody to go check out the world's best radio station, WOXY. It used to broadcast, but now it's purely web based. Listen to it while you're online tonight. http://www.woxy.com/
Check out the play list, write in a request, see where the others listeners are...
