I'm gonna start two new threads. One I just got a pop-up on mozilla. What's up with that. The second is going to ask if you can delete IE without fubarring you whole WIndows OS. Who needs that virus trap anyway.

In an unrelated note, I sent my wife flowers and a note Monday to be delivered Tuesday. I was away Monday night. I got...

So I've been leaving my old post up because my present life is soooooo uneventful these days. My life has assumed such a routine that I think it's time to have children to stir sthings up. Yup. That'd do it.

I just got back from New Orleans, and it was great. I was out at the last day of Jazz Fest and saw Steel Pulse, Terence Blanchard, the Neville Brothers, and ended up with Pete Fountain. The guy was born in 1930 and was taught be people who played with King Oliver and Bix Biederbecke. The pre-bop jazz he plays would be a museum piece...

We'll another week of staring into the void, and not really being phased. Maybe I'm like Zaphod Beelblebrox in the Universe extrapolated from a piece of fairy cake - sometimes a sense of perspective is something you can't afford to have. Or maybe it's just that everything keeps coming up for me. Don't know, don't care. It's Spring and it's beautiful out and good things...

Well I've been having a rocking good time lately. I was a my brothers birthday party the other, hanging out with his kids. I don't know how parents keep it going. One hour with them and I'm exhausted. A friend once told me, "...they give you energy." I've yet to see it.
Mrs. Magilla is a complete doll, Last night she brought me a 30...

Man. I was out on Saturday to a couple of parties. The first was very chi chi and urbane. I mean, I have never been around so many beautiful people. Whereas that would formerly have made me uncomfortable, it doesn't now. It was strangely pleasant. The second was a party with a bunch of my Palooka friends from around town. I'm still hungover. Ouch. Tchuss.

I was at a big meeting last night, and I met another faculty member from another department. It turns out that one of the senior faculty members had offered to put me on a project that her husband was working on (which would have involved getting him off of it). I was never able to join the project. She introduced me to him. We chatted....

And you sound like an asshole who can't read all too well. St. Patrick was simply not as awesome as people make him out to be, that's all. I never once said something bad about actual Irish people.
roethke:
Ok, I can understand how you misinterpreted what I wrote. St. Patrick didn't exactly exhibit what one would deem saintly behavior. By traditional celibration of St. Patrick's day, I meant how he originally behaved. I still hate Irish cuisine, though.

Well, back again. My last conundrum about my having been dreaming about an old flame was ended by my dreaming about an unrequited college love, and then about a lesbian boss I used to have, for whom I really didn't even have a high regard as a scientist. I think I just needed to get some. biggrin wink . So after that's taken care off, lots of...

So after a bit of a lull, work is getting a little busier, which is good. I was bored and impecunious. I had to pick up a second job, but then the second job conflicts with the first, and what the hell - it doesn't seem like things will ever get moving. But I keep plodding along. I passed a major certification exam the other...

Hey Scopitone! It's Christmas for our Eastern Orthodox friends today, so how about posting the Chris Christmas Rodriguez links again. I went through the whole twelve days of Western Christmas without seeing them, so this is my last chance this year. It was, as your posts so frequently are, the funniest thing I had ever seen in my life up to that point.

Thanks, mon ami.

Just for you, baby.
