It sickened me to hear that L'Oreal have purchased the Body Shop.. (for something like $623 million.. )
L'Oreal... truly a giant in the cosmetics/skincare industry have for years tested on animals, affiliated (part owned or at least a shareholder in L'Oreal is Nestle.. well known and disgraced throughout the world for its corporate greed...
(i am not even going to go into it but if you want more info just google it).
Anyway.. The Body Shop say that regardless of L'Oreal owning them, they will keep to the standards they have upheld for years.
I say it makes no difference... their profits and share prices are still going to end up in the pockets of L'Oreal and its shareholders, and anything that supports such a company should be blackbanned.
Some of the Chairmen for the Body Shop have since resigned in disgust.. replaced by L'Oreal executives.
Sorry Body Shop.. its just too upsetting.
