Contrary to popular belief, flight is not at all difficult, its the landing that is the hard part.
Went boarding at A-Basin yersterday and halfway down the second run of the day, I caught the toe edge and dove at the mountian side at a solid 30 mph. Throwing my arms out to catch myself was a pointless gesture and succeded only in splitting my collarbone into 2 distinct pieces. I managed to edge my way down to the bottom and get to the first aid station. I stayed there with an ice pack while my friends finished out the day snowboarding. After the long and painful ride back down to Golden, I found a place that could x-ray me and they confirmed that my scapula was, in fact, BUS TED. Now I have a persciption for Vicodin and have to stay in a sling for 3-6 weeks. Meh, the flight was fun while it lasted.
Ill try to get pics.
Take care
