Whiskey and Cigarettes
I intake whiskey for a little realization, on letting go.
I inhale smoke just to be alone.
Soon whiskey and cigarettes will be tethered to my skin
But then again I think its always been
I inhale smoke cause I need that time to get away,
I inhale relax and pray its my moment of the day.
With every sip along the way whiskey warms whats been engraved.
This familiar feeling of inflamed, feels like freedom for a slave.
Its just the day to day,
I wouldnt call it shame,
I wouldnt call it sane,
But to name whats in the frame I suppose Id picture pain
The two jacks swigging whiskey smoke up half a pack.
Ive fallen to their ways.
They stole my captive gaze,
And usually like always, Im tethered to there trade.
Totally reluctant I give in and play their game.
Gladly and neglected I kneel and start to fade.
Smoking for the moment, whiskey to get away.
Its this lethal combination that helps me complement the shade.
Now for reasons unbeknown to me.
Theyve brought me to a creek.
Where now I sit and drink.
And smoke instead of think.
This is my main wisdom, its my kingdom full of sin.
My whiskey and my ciggerettes help breath again
