I ordered my tickets for the lottery for the World Cup today. I've always wanted to go to the World Cup (well, at least since I've become a futbol fan), and dangit, I decided to go for it this year.
I should know whether or not I git the tix by the end of April, but I applied for the three games that the USA will be in (assuming they qualify). Being both a soccer fan and an international relations scholar, this could be a dream come true.
The 2006 World Cup is in Germany, and the three games are spread over roughly a 12-day period, so it looks like I'll be enjoying a 2-week vacation in Germany (again, assuming I get the tix) next summer. Geeze, what the heck could I POSSIBLY do between games. Life is tough, eh?

I hope you get the ones you want. The whole application process seemed very confusing when they spoke about it on the radio the other day. I'm assuming the US will be in and will get out of the group stages at least.
