Whew....I'm hitting that stretch run at school before spring break. Lots of tests to grade, students coming in and talking about their grades, and so forth. Grading tests takes a lot out of me, which apparently surpises some students.
I'm very good about grading tests. I try to have all of them done by the next class period. As I incorporate a lot of essays into my tests, it takes a considerable amount of time to read and grade them.
When I'm lucky, without distractions, I can grade a test in about 7-10 minutes, give or take. In a class of 74, that's roughly 9 or 10 hours.
No wonder it took me an extra day to grade all of those. It's the biggest class I've ever had.
Leaving for Spain on Friday! I'll update once more before then.

I hope the grading went well! My SO is a TA and so was one of my roommates, so I know all about it. Enjoy your break!
