After a long night of drinking, and laughter our conversation took a more serious tone, when someone mentioned the idea that love and sex were intertwined; I almost chocked on my drink!! Love and sex in my opinion, or in other words " according to my truth " are NOT the same. Love can be difficult, draining, confusing. Love requires commitment, and sharing. Love forces you to see things from your partners point of view, a little thing sometimes called being empathic. Love is consoling someone although you may be in pain your self. Love is listening when you really would prefer to be the one talking. With sex however an unselfish attitude and a good imagination and you're off to a GREAT start! Sure it can be draining...when it's Good!!! The point is, so many people are uncomfortable with their own sexuality, that they use love to make themselves feel comfortable about it. It is even worse when sex is used to validate their self worth, but that is a topic for another night of drinking.
