come on, synchronicity; I could use a hand tomorrow.
You ever try going mad without power? It's boring, no one listens to you.

Where is my Strip Mall Romance? I could listen to this over and over.
I first saw you at the strip mall
In the arcade playing pinball
You were wearing brand new sneakers
A catchy song was on the speakers
I didn't want to stare too hard
Got a drink from the near juice bar
You were playing your last token
I put on my...

Cool lyrics. I'll have to check her out.
tart:
haha. i think you may be right on that one.
When confronted by our worst nightmares, the choices are few: Fight, or flight.
We hope to find the strength to fight our fears, but sometimes, despite ourselves, we run. What if the nightmare gives chase, what do we do then?

lelaina:
run faster?? who knows, i struggle with this "fight or flight" thing daily....
squee_:
Well, I don't think it matters which response you have first, but when that one is no longer an option, you have to be prepared to use the other one. If running is no longer an option then you have to fight. Which is easier said than done of course.
I have asked people. Most of them just seem to want to talk and get offended when I tell them I don't have the time. Which is always true. If I am on AIM I have a specific person that I need to talk to and I am just checking to see if they are on there because I dislike phone calls and email may not be quick enough. It's the hostility when I am not able to have a conversation that bugs me the most.

I can never decide which to do first:
1) stuff that I'm dreading doing but really ought to
2) stuff that I enjoy that is equally as important

shit, thats a tough one. i guess it depends on what those things are.............still. a tough one
mneylu:
Alternate the two? One -One? And then you'll get them done?
Strange weekend. It started some couchsurfers in town, i wish the sunshine they brought with them would have stayed. Technically, it started with them leaving town.
Next, met up with a friend with benefits. Note to anyone who listens:
Don't remind your friend with benefits that you are not dating unless you are done with aforementioned benefits. I was close to being done with her,...

I've never had good luck with the friends with benefits thing. Somebody always seems to have hidden agendas.

I recently (re-)read that, "every smidgen of our universe effects every other. From this viewpoint there is no inside or outside. Everything is contained in consciousness which has no boundaries."
Whether it's talking about moving your stuff with conscious (and unconscious) intention, or changing the outcome of things by observing them, it makes me question my ambition. Is the squeeze really worth the juice? Perhaps...

Steps toward finding whatever it is that I'm looking for... as I always seem to be searching for... something that I will know when I find 'it'
1 through 25234496, give or take a few; Accept job and move to NZ.
Next, realize that I would be much happier if I was chasing summer rather than winter (which I knew, but didn't think of).

Music has really been calling my name recently, and I have been responding to it.
3 day weekend coming up, it's going to be filled with Ableton.
A couple of the lyrics that have spoken to me:
Play it out to the end or don't start.
It doesn't matter as long as you get where you are going.
(more to come)
(leave me some of...

Yeah I hear ya, but NZ is the only place I reckon I could live long term though. Maybe Seattle or Vancouver, or maybe even German Switzerland... I like this place but it ain't without it's flaws. What kinda sw development do you do?
tita:
It feels like home indeed! Sorry didn't get right back to you...was busy with my "To Do" list
Hmmm...song lyrics? Lemme get back to you. I feel like I think in song lyrics and movie quotes sometimes, so something is bound to come to me...

I am allowed to work in NZ for another 2 years (after much waiting in line to wait in line). I kind of doubt it'll last more than one though. When asked about the country, most people think Americans have trouble with the pace. I could see this, but this is one of the reasons I came here... to live at a different pace. to...

Thanks, mate!
No rioting here!
There were reportedly a couple of fights, but considering that they estimated 40,000 people were swarming downtown (a 6-block radius), it's pretty impressive.
The elite 8 and final 4 parties were totally problem free . . . unless you consider drunken white people as far as the eye can see yelling "whooo" or "champions!" a problem.
There were also a couple of "Mario! Mario!" chants, as you can imagine. He's the hero of the moment.

The Chalmers shot was just amazing-- I went out into my porch immediately afterwards, and could hear this white-noise ambient roar as literally the entire city was screaming in their living rooms. It was surreal and pretty fantastic.
