I was tentatively scheduled to get dive certified next weekend, but I've decided to blow it off. Now that I have a paycheck and an expense check banked, I'm itching to get myself some wheels. I can take the dive class in June and not miss out on any diving... but the longer I wait to have transportation the more I'm going to feel trapped.
I wouldn't have to blow it off if I was living in a real city rather than out from out where, but I have to travel an hour just to get a decent deal on a helmet, let alone find myself a motorcycle.
Speaking of wheels, I want you to remember that you are not your car. It is not a physical extension of your body. 'That idiot' did not almost 'hit you', they almost hit your car. It seems as though the books I have picked up lately have all contained a similar theme about limitations of property, language, or posessions. Perhaps I'm just projecting my own desire to live by lean principles after using them effectively at work and at home.

In searching around for music and things to do here, I've come across a pretty interesting site: couchsurfing.com. I found it when looking into the regional burn. I think it should help me see quite a bit more of NZ, at least to have some places to stop and rest/relax on my adventures around, if not to meet some other international characters (with couches).
