Okay, so I went to the premiere...and I gotta say, the film was a BIG disappointment. I've always been a Star Wars geek (and yes, feel free to laugh uproariously at me now), and yet there were times in that film (like every time natalie portman and Hayden Christensen were speaking to each other) where it was all I could do not to get up and walk out. The last battle was well done, but it was quite obvious that's where lucas put ALL his attention...overall, in my books, a big disappointment....
Now that that's done....Had a birthday party for my friend Juan last night. Kaptain Kadaver and his Lee helped me to plan this thing, and we have made it our goal in years past to initiate some type of spectacle...like a Roman Emperor would get, sorta thing. Juan is no roman emperor, in fact, he lives a pretty dull life, so these parties act as a way for him to create new stories of infamy for himself...
Last night the spectacle was a naked foot race around the school across from my house. This is the school where every weekend I take my daughter to play at the park...which I may never be able to do again with a straight face!!! There were only 4 competitors, myself included....the starting whistle went off, and we ran like crazy men, across streets through fields and courtyards, and back across the street to my place. I won, which is a shock, seeing as I've been smoking for like 10 years, and haven't done any running in that time. All in all, that was the only really good part of the party, but I'm just not going to get into the rest of it...
Looking forward to next weekend, which looks like it is going to be crazy busy for me
Kaptain Kadaver's pre-Kink bbq is going to be a blast, so if you're in town, drop him an email. Then of course Kink with the gang, and Sanguine on my arm....What else that weekend...VNV!!!! Yes, going to VNV Nation...which I had only just recently discovered prior to the concert announcement, so I'm not really sure what to expect...apart from a good time. Oh yeah...and I have my daughter that ENTIRE weekend, so sleep will be at an absolute premium, and I appologize in advance if I'm bitchy towards you (or possible kick you in the crotch...a move I have become known for).
