I stopped WW a year ago, but I still keep an eye on portion sizes. My weight has gone back to 173 lb, which is not too bad.
The key things that I needed for WW to work were keeping the diary up to date, which I did almost every day for a year and also I cooked my own food. I learned that some dishes are very filling, but they don't have many points. For example, a plate pilled high with vegeatables, chicken breast, potatoes and gravy might only have 6 to 8 points. That would leave me feeling full for many hours. In contrast, a take away burger meal has about 20 points and it leaves me feeling full for about 20 minutes or less.
The trick is eating good food that leaves you feeling full, rather than energy rich fast food, which leaves you hungry soon after eating.
