I love watching movies of all genres, what matters is that the film is done well. But I have a special appreciation for films with surprising endings, those that leave you “What was that that I just watched?”, That address psychological issues and make you think about the film for several days.
It's hard to name favorite movies and in order, because I love a lot of movies hahaha
I really like the films of director Lars Von Trier, one of them, Dancer in the Dark, was my favorite for a long time. Others I like a lot are Nymphomaniac, The House Jack Built, Melancholy and Dogville which is a masterpiece.
Another director that I also find incredible and that it is difficult to choose just one work is Stanley Kubrick: A Clockwork Orange, The Shining, Eyes Wide Shut and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Martin Scorsese: Gangs of New York, Taxi Driver, Cape Fear, The Departed, Shutter Island and The Wolf of Wall Street.
I love the character Hannibal Lecter: The Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon. The Godfather trilogy is impeccable, as is the South Korean revenge trilogy: Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance, Oldboy and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. All Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter and Star Wars movies!
Lilja 4-ever, Mr. NobodyThe Broken Circle Breakdown, Paris, Texas and the animations Wolf Children, Paprika, Perfect Blue, Mononoke Hime, My Neighbor Totoro, Spirited Away, Into the Forest of Fireflies' Light and Grave of the Fireflies also love much!
There are many films heheheh and I certainly must have forgotten some.
What are your favorite movies?
