Sunday - Day 9
Ok so me berry is back in action. I'll spare u yesterdays action and just move on.
Today is up there as one of the best days of snowboarding of my entire life. We fucking kicked ass today. I felt like the king of the mountain, I was warmed up from riding earlier in the week, and rested up by taking a day off. Sunny, wide open slopes, and riding from dawn til dusk. Having lunch at the top of the alps outdoors is something I will never forget. Hopefully the video we took will give some idea of what we we're feeling.
I stopped and sat at 4pm at the top of the mountain watching the sunset. I literally sat there for 30 minutes and watched the sun go down. That was a moment. Everything was so gorgeous I didn't even know what to take a photo of. The entire place is a postcard. The realization of going home is setting in and the only thing that makes me feel better is planning the next vacation.
Tomorrow we ride, and ride hard. I'm hoping to take a slow run taking video to show what it's like to ride the alps. Then check out, and hop on a train back to Geneva for dinner with Sandrine. I've never taken a vacation this long and it feels like it's over faster than any other. I wish I had another few days.
I've met a lot of interesting people this week. French, swiss, italian, british, australian, and no americans. A small part of me wants to go home, but most of me wants to figure out a way to live this life.
Current level of body pain: ZERO. (So ready to ride my final day)
