I am making this blog because I wanted to say some little fun facts about myself , and maybe find out some fun facts about all of you!
Fun fact #1 : I'm legally blind in my left eye, this is why I wear prescription glasses (I just take them off for photosets and most other photos unless it's a random selfie!). I have "lazy eye" and also something apparently called "strabismus" which is where your eye kind of pulls a bit. Funny enough my photographer friend caught this in one of my photos (pictured below) . My left lens in my glasses is noticeably thicker as well and makes my left eye look a little bigger when I'm wearing them.
Fun fact #2 : I had braces for a few years and was *partially* missing my "eye teeth" . When I was 8 I started the process of getting my braces , first step was "spacers" , these little rubber bands they put in between some of your teeth. At first because my eye teeth hadn't grown in I couldn't get the full set of braces(when they finally went on, which let me tell ya was a lengthy process! ) I remember feeling so impatient - mostly out of embarrassment-- anyways I digress ... lol 😆 they could only put the actual "braces" on my front four incisors. They tried waiting for my eye teeth to come down , but they wouldn't grow in and they had been like that for a few years at this point. When I was about 4 I would just pull my teeth out , I wouldn't wait for my baby teeth to be loose, I'd just yank them out- I'm assuming this was due to trauma I was experiencing at the time and this is how the stress presented itself. So , eventually they decided to put the braces on the part of my eye teeth that were slightly poking out of my gums. Cause like they were there but wouldn't fully grow in - they were literally just slightly showing through my gums ! It was crazy . And OVERNIGHT my teeth were pulled down into place. It hurt so bad, one of the worst pains I had experienced.... seems like I've droned on long enough about this one so if you want to know more let me know and I could do a whole blog post just about that !
Fun fact #3 : I was such a water baby !! I could swim on my own and touch the bottom of my aunts poop (probably 8 - 10 feet deep or so) by the age of 4½-5. I used to play "mermaids" all the time 😂😂 and yes this enTAILed (😆) me swimming with my legs together like well a mermaid 🧜♀️ 😂
Fun fact # 4 : math was my absolute worst subject and language arts was my best. In line with that , I'm English speaking but I did take 3 years of Spanish in highschool and can speak/understand basic Spanish. I don't know Spanish slang words or maybe certain cultural phrases they might use , but I do know the grammar, alphabet, days of the week, and like I said - basic "real life everyday use" conversations . I'm currently working on studying Japanese. I know the structural grammar , the alphabet(s) except kanji (this can take a long time though and even native speakers don't know every single kanji that exists there's over 15,000 kanji!) And I know a few basic sentences. At this point I can understand more than I can speak and I'm really struggling with learning words.. I find it hard having an actual random every day conversation in japanese, I'm not sure why I'm struggling so hard with this. I've been reading my friends blog, books, and everything! She sent me some manga (in japanese with furigana) and she even got me a japanese picture dictionary for Christmas. Maybe meditation would help, I should clear my mind a bit and then try studying some more. Anyways, moving onnnnn....
Fun fact #5 : I can hum and whistle at the same time and it almost creates a spaceship sort of sound 😂😂 i don't really know how else to describe it 😅 but it's pretty cool lol
