It is such an honor to see my name and picture brandished with that little pink tag as I have been hoping and praying for the past seven months of my process as a hopeful SG. I can't thank everyone enough for all the love, support and kind words I've received. The comments you all have left are seriously the nicest things that have ever been said to me in my life. I don't think there was an inch, hair or mole on me that didn't get complimented. Many of your compliments even brought me to tears, which reminds me of the day Christian showed me our finished set. I was in such a rough spot that day: sick, sad and homeless. As we flipped through the shots, the flood gates opened and tears started to trickle down my flushed cheeks. I can only imagine what was going through Christian's mind before I choked out, "No, no! It's just so beautiful!" But not only was it beautiful, it was me, 100% me in all my b.o. and glory. Now, I have had plenty of photographers make me look beautiful, but when you see the image its this almost surreal "is that really me?" kinda thing. Never before have I been captured in such a way as this, like the very eye of the creator was inside the lens of Christian's camera to pull forth the fire and love from my often shadowy soul and cast it into the perfect light. This too had that surreal effect but more in a "how the fuck do you do that?!" type of way. Yeah, that'll do. Now all it needs is a name, and luckily Christian came with some ideas up his sleeve. I just knew I wanted the name to really represent not only the set, but how much the entire experience meant to me and where I wanted to take it. And all of those things have brought me here today, on the front page of my new story (crying again- maybe I should have been called SG Waterworks) and I am so so grateful for all of you, Christian especially, and can't wait to share with you all what I find as I venture into "The Great Beyond." <3
