So been back in Germany a couple days now. I spent a few days in Paris with some of the guys I work with. And it made me realize specifically why I like going to places that aren't frequented by Americans.
So one of the guys wanted to hit the bars New Years Eve, which was cool. We all ended up going to the Eiffel Tower because that was what the majority wanted to do (I was partial to the Champs D'Elyss). After we got back I decided to get to bed since I was aggrivated from the ball busting that I had dealt with all day from one of the guys and figured it'd be better anyway since I froze my ass off the entire night. So a couple guys decide to head out to the bar and stumble in at around 4am and they are totally fucked up.
My friend Brian and I are awake by around 9am wanting to go do stuff (primarily go to museums, see Ravel's Grave, and just chill). But neither of us just wants to leave and we had all talked about going out to Versailles, so we sit around doing nothing till about noon when people start to wake up. Then we wait for about another hour and a half for people to finish getting ready. The rest of the day isn't that bad, but then the same guy wants to go to the same bar and just get plastered again.
Long story short, this guy was on his first trip to Paris and he is leaving Europe to move back to the states in a week or so. So I just find it difficult that someone would want to not remember any of their vacation because they were either drunk or hungover the entire time and didn't really do anything. It started to bother me one night at a restaurant that I go to everytime I'm in Paris when he was starting to become the obnoxious american tourist.
Well either way, I bought a whole shit load of art books from the museums including a book all about the painting "Guernica" by Picasso (still totally stoked about that), a book of Manet work, some books of the exhibits I saw, and a book of the pastels that the Orsay owns. I also bought a bunch of prints so that my room could not be so bland, but when I went to the framing store today they wanted about 50-60 euro for each print to be framed, and considering I had 6 things to get framed there is no way I could afford it. Looks like I might have to go back to Ikea and buy some more really shitty frames
If anyone knows of any stores in Germany that have cheap frames that will actually hold the print in place I would love to hear.

Thanks! I don't think Walgreens would ship to the UK would they? Maybe I can use them to make prints to send to other people in the US.
