writing extended compositions are difficult. I some how need to figure out how to incorporate Iraqi music in the middle of a piece that's primarily blues based. This could be one of my more interesting compositions (of course that's hoping that the tremendous lack of skill doesn't make very traditional sounding music sound out of tune and weird anyway).
I got into the PhD program..now I need to convince the school to let me do 4 courses my first semester. I'm pretty much trying to do everything but the dissertation in three semesters, which really is kind of crazy, but fuck it I just did a masters in about 9 months so what's the difference?
In other news the internet here still sucks ass and I'll be shocked if I can actually get this to post since for some reason posting a blog is like the mortal enemy of our internet service.
I really wish it didn't take me 32049872398417564370519234 times trying to upload a blog to actually post it....it's pretty frustrating...
