Two things happened today.
First, I went to the store to get some apples and I saw the two cutest little girls. They were about 3 or 4 years old and just talking up a storm to their mom. They were talking about all the things they saw in the store and all the things that they knew about them and speculating about all kinds of things. These kids were just nonstop energy. The mom, however, spent the whole time repeatedly telling the two kids to shut up. Hopefully she was just having a bad day, but I felt sad that the mom was stomping down the kids energy. It just struck me as such a positive thing.
Second, when I got home from work there was a message from Laura asking me to come over and visit, so I called up Tommy and headed over to visit. After about an hour, as I was reading a book to her, she asked me to stop and said that she had to lie down because she had a headache. She then asked me to get her a wet towel for her forehead, which I did. I told Tommy about it and he tried to get her to drink some Ovaltine with some children's tylenol in it, but she wouldn't. It looked like a really bad headache. I hope that she's not developing migraines, but she acted like this wasn't the only headache that she had lately. So consequently, that cut my visit short and I came home.
I tell you, it is a truely terrible thing to see a child in pain and not be able to do anything about about it.

Agree with you on the therapy thing too. I can't really feel sorry for him, since he's been so astoundingly uncivil to me (and to so many others who didn't deserve it), but I do feel for his wife and kids.
