I could almost rent my room out as a sauna. When the sun's going down, it shines right in my window and turns the room into a furnace. Even with the window open and a box fan blowing in full-blast, it's still almost more than I can bear. Oh, and our wonderful landlord hadn't gotten around to fixing our AC since... oh, last summer. Or...

Not.... forks, right? Hmmmm.
My roommate started at his Real Job today. He's starting at over twice what I'm getting now, probably better benefits and an actual avenue for advancement. I don't really envy that right now, but it makes me wonder when (if?) I'll ever get my shit together enough to finish school and get a decent job, not just living by the day. Hell, I'm getting a...

Its a King of the Hill reference and its possibly my old man that you have seen use it also. When we got the account I had never been the member of any "online community" before so when I started posting on the boards and in groups I didnt realize how my comments would be associated with the name, when it was all said and done we each have an account now and I got to keep the original (with the original spelling which has been his for a very long time really) and he had to spell his Rusty Shackelford
Woohoo, I'm posting this from my new computer. It's not blisteringly fast, but compared to my piece of shit 5-year-old Compaq, it's nice.
l_f:
Congratulations! I am still with my shitty one!

stillbreathing:
5 year old Compaq huh? Good stuff...
I'm happy with life right now. It's not fantastic, but for some reason (or many small reasons) it feels better than it has in a while. It's smooth sailing. I don't want it to last forever, but I like it right now.

Always good.

The last few days have been lively, to say the least. It all started Tuesday night. I haven't closed a bar in weeks, and not on a weeknight in months. It'd be a stretch to say I needed it, but it felt so damn good. Mostly my one circle of friends goes out and does the same thing week after week. I really hate having...

I think all of emo can be summed up in one statement: "It's just easier to bitch than it is to do something about it."

also, Thursday ripping off the Joy Division shirt art and saying (love will tear us apart vs. love has torn us apart) pretty much makes them fuckers.

I really liked that movie. It didn't give me any new ideas but it definetly assured me that I wasn't alone. That's always nice to know. It's actually about to be booted off my movie list though. It's not very high on my favorites and I've run out of room.
No, 6 was just a random number. I just get lost in the whole time lapsing thing sometimes. Counting kind of helps me meditate.

Going back to Muscatine, my hometown, for the weekend. It's a magical land, where the air smells of vinegar, ketchup and drying cattle feed. The city planners have this annoying tendency to attach Musca- or Muskie to things around the city, like the MuscaBus or Muskie Motors. So we've taken to calling the curious aroma surrounding the city the Muscastench. Seriously, I'd almost rather live...

Musca is the Latin for fly, remember? That explains a lot.
Well, take your time, eat your vinagrette steak and ketchup burger, masturbate, sleep well, and do magic!

thanks for reading my story.
It was entirely fictional and part of an assignment I had for class. I don't really know how to not integrate pain into my writings. Not that it is the on ly thing I have experienced, but I just feel it is universal and something that everyone can relate to, so it did affect me, but I hoped it would affect the reader more.

I can't wait for something to happen. I just wish I knew what that something was.
Oh, and check out http://www.tourettesguy.com. Tourette's is an unfortunate, socially crippling disorder, and you'll hate yourself for laughing, but laugh you will.

Maybe I should stop drinking. I actually offended a girl tonight. I mean she wouldn't even talk to me to accept my apology. I really didn't mean any of the awful things I was saying to her, they just kept coming up in conversation (okay, because my mind was in the gutter), and I'm not the kind of guy to let a one-liner slide. I...

That is how I stopped my heavy drinking in the Carnival of 1991 or so ... Offended a couple of girls, plus some messy details that I rather skip (I think I mentioned them to you... Oh, well.
)

Alone and crying... Oh, boy! That is dramatic.
I just started reading Pattern Recognition by William Gibson again, after I put it down sometime last year. I'd forgotten just how amazing an author he is. He doesn't write the most utterly mindblowing sci-fi out there (okay, this book isn't sci-fi, but that's what he usually writes), but the way he can paint a scene or turn a phrase just floors me. Like who...
