The chemistry class is officially over...yes, over. And the funny thing is that I thought I might possibly fail but ended up getting a B in the class and an A in the lab. I in no way attribute the high grades to myself, since I believe that I really learned nothing in the past month and a half except how to memorize formulas for things I really know nothing about and to pad my grade with extra credit. Go Higher Learning! I need at least one real class next semester so I can get the feeling that I will have something more than a piece of paper to hang on the wall when I graduate.
...But! in the spirit of embracing the ephemeral I will enjoy the relief of not having to worry about why I am drinking booze and listening to music when I should be writing up a lab for the next day.
So yeah, the final for that class was this morning and afterward I drove to San Francisco to sign then lease for my new place. Yay! I pretty much knew I had it since Saturday but haven't said anything to anyone in the fear that I would jinx it or something. But now, like it or not, I am signed on for at least a year. The place ended up being the cheapest and largest place that we looked at. It's got a dining area, a bar, a little back patio, a toliet...you know, the works. Plus (I'm gonna try this first thing when I move in) I think I can ride/coast my bike from my front door to the BART station without pedaling it once. I think my knee will enjoy that in the morning, which is a good thing since as of the past few days the whole left side of it and my shin feels like it permanently fallen asleep...that on top of the normal pain. And my insurance runs out next week
Anyway, that's it. Gotta go. I'm taking my little brother to see Anchorrman for his birthday. Ohh! And if my friend ever calls back about if he got the ticket or not I will be seeing Modest Mouse and the Walkmen tommorow! Good times.
Hope everyone has a swell weekend...love...billyboy...
we got no health insurance,
no cellular service,
no disease they can cure,
but we need more money to burn / so each person must learn the dollar amount they are worth.
and those pills make dizzy / forgetting my body / I watch as it walks away.
I'll just keep drinking the poisons and smoking the carbons, a pack and a half a day.
so when time come to claim me / my friends and family will gather round my grave,
and they'll "believe" that they knew me and loved me and missed me and all call me by my name...

Hooray for your class being over!
Congrats on your new place. What neighborhood is it in?
Yes, no more meat for me. It simply was time.
Congrats on finding a place! Where is it located? And when do you move in? Hopefully I'll see you at some of the upcoming shows in SF!
