Well. let's start with the badness, about which I think I'll be briefer. Yesterday when I was sparring, my leg got trapped and twisted, I heard a pop, and I was down. I'm in pain and limping. It isn't terrible, but it's such that I know I can't go to the gym tomorrow. I don't know if I can train Tuesday. I don't even know if I'll be able to train all next week.
And everything I looked up about knee injuries has me freaked out. I think I need to go to the doctor. It seems like a minor injury, but if I've torn my ACL I'll probably need surgery.
I spoke to H-- on Skype this morning, for two and a half hours. It was great. He looked really good. Better-looking than I remember, even.
We talked about things we remember. Arm-wrestling on his boss's desk. He won... but I think I would win now. An incident in which I set a marshmallow on fire and almost burned down his apartment. He said that was his best memory of New York.
He had originally been planning to come to NYC in the beginning of May. He had tickets and the hotel booked and everything. But his aunt got sick, so he'll have to postpone the trip. Still, I hope this means he'll come here and I'll get to see him some time soon. I believe he said maybe in the summer.
His English has stayed just about perfect.
Wow. I can completely imagine being in love with him again. I remembered what I liked so much: his sense of humor, his open-mindedness, his kindness and ability to listen, his intelligence, his positivity. I was nervous to talk to him, but it was comforting somehow.
We're going to talk again next Sunday.

Hope it's only a minor leg injury. Surgery would definitely suck.
