I've gone out with the same guy a few times now, and I'm rather starting to like him. The age difference is more than I've done before-- he's 12 years older-- but I think it's good. He has a better idea of what he wants out of life than most of the guys I've dated who are closer to my age. And it's fun being the hot younger woman.
What I like most about him, though, is that he's a risk-taker. Not of stupid risks, but of brave ones. He left his very successful, high-paying job in Japan to come to New York because he wanted to study English and have a change. He understands the risk I'm taking leaving my Ph.D. program, and he respects my decision.
I don't know what will happen in the future, but things are good right now.

It seems like you're trying to do the same. I sincerely hope this works out for you.
