Short Embrace
Shadow dapples dimpled
across his expression.
With discretion
his eyes search, subtle
and kind.
He wanders my eyes for a while
a glimpse of wonder
as he finds
that mutual place in them.
In them
I found shades of autumn
urban in attitude
auburn of shade.
Mutually dazed
we shuffle the conversation
yet still so subtly aware of our
found glimpse
of momentous
shade;
shadow searching
short embrace.
