Right so then, what has happened since my blog. Well I've been to work, I've watched tv oh and I had a girl round. Hurrah. It's just a casual thing I think which is cool for now. I'm looking to try and move away soon after I get back from America so starting off a serious relationship probably isn't really a good idea. So having some fun whilst I can is the order of the day I do believe. And I think that's the way we both see it.
I also finally did my ESTA online so I can go to America. Thankfully me not being a Nazi in world war 2 has helped out yet again. Yup genuinely one of the questions. They can still turn you away if they don't like the look of you at customs so I'll be sure to be on my best behavior. Or else, what a waste of money.
I've started coming up with a list of things to do in the various locations. I'll just jot them down, feel free to have a peruse.
New York - is the one I'm mostly undecided on because there's so much to do and I'm not there long. But seeing as how my hostel is halfway between Broadway and Central Park those seem good places to start. But to be honest I might just wonder around and see what places I can find, rather than just got to the typical places.
Chicago - got a few ideas here. The Willis tower is about 15 mins walk from the hostel so I will definitely be checking that out. Then there's the pier that looks like there's loads of stuff there. And Lincoln Park Zoo looks pretty cool as well.
Los Angeles - Ameoba Records. It has to be done simple as. Also the Bradbury building and Angells Knoll. Basically beacuse they were both in 500 days of summer haha The Bradbury building was also the main building used in Blade Runner as well. The beach in Santa Monica as well. Apparently I also have to make my way over to the grand canyon as well. I have a friend in California who I've never met in person, but we've been talking everyday for about a year now. So it'll be great to finally meet her and hang out. Plus she said she'd drive me places which works for me!
I'm still open to suggestions of course. And I may well have forgotten stuff i'd thought about doing as well. I'm also looking for a new camera. Only something compact, probably sub-200. But is quite good for landscapes and maybe got some manual modes and is just generally a bit awesome.
Ok the two songs I've been listening to whilst writing this blog are:
