A gift from my parents:
It came from a friend of theirs who passed away about a year ago. He went by the name Ozzy Osbourne. How cool is that?
For the uninitiated, that is a medium-format film camera, meaning it creates 2.25x2.75 inch negatives, which can produce prints five times the size of what a 35mm negative can do. Fun!
So now I have a lot to learn. I'm excited because I haven't shot film in years, and have very little experience with medium/large format cameras. Especially now that we are in the age of digital imaging, this camera is truly and almost exclusively an artist's tool. Using it is really going to help me refine my understanding of photography in general.
Thank you Ozzy! I hope I do justice to your camera!
Anyone out there care to show/tell about what they like to do or have done with their medium or large format camera?
I'm going to the woods this weekend for the Summer Solstice. I'm hoping to get in a lot of practice there. Yay! Ok, I'm off to do some reading.

Always loved the viewing perspective from medium format. Did the kit come with a polariod back?

nice mamiya ...looks like it has some character. I've been lusting after a pentax 67 for years, but somehow have only manifested an old bronica that I just can't seem to connect with.
