I occasionally make mistakes, everyone does. Today I made three.
1. Left the house with a headache
2. Went to walmart with a headache
3. Went to walmart at all.
I went to Walmart to by a mattress topper. Well, first I called because I was just going to use the pick up so I didn't have to shop around in Walmart. I was hung up on 3 times. The fourth I was transferred 3 times to people who had NO IDEA what I was asking for. They transferred me to Electronics for a Mattress Pad. After the third time trying to explain what I was looking for, I hung up. I drove there, headache and all. I walked to the home goods, went to the sheets, found the mattress topper I wanted, and went to check out..... Fairly simple right. Took me all of 5 minutes to see if they had the one I wanted.
At checkout..... I had the mattress topper and some veggies. The cashier could not figure out how to ring up the veggies. I had to show her how to look them up on the plastic sheet laying right next to her. Then, she could not figure out what they (the vegetables) actually were so I had to say each one as she rung them up.... And now it's time to pay. It goes something like this.
Her: 198.10
Me: I hand her 3- $50 bills and 3- $20 dollar bills. 210 dollars.
Her: Out of 150, right?
Me: Uh, no.
Her: Recounts looking confused. Out of 180?
Me: If you try to subtract 198 from 180 I would still owe you money.
Her: Oh do you owe me more then?
Me: Blank stare.
Her: Counts it again...... three times.... moves money around....
Me: 210.
Her: blank stare
Me: It's $210
Her: She rings it in. Get's my change. Hands me the bills. Looks questioningly at the change. She starts to count it out to me.... she gets halfway through and just hands me the rest. I look at it. It's wrong.
WHAT THE HOLLY HELL???? HOW ARE THESE PEOPLE GETTING JOBS HANDLING MONEY? SHE CAN'T FUCKING COUNT. SHE CANNOT DO SIMPLE MATH. ACTUALLY SHE DOESN'T HAVE TO DO MATH. THE REGISTER DOES IT FOR HER. ALL SHE HAS TO DO IS COUNT IT AND GIVE ME BACK WHAT IT SAYS.
I give her back the extra change and leave. I get home. She squished all my veggies under the heavier veggies. My tomatoes are mush.
Three mistakes today. Three.
