I spent the afternoon with a smoker today. I told my honey that I was probably going to have one. I only had ONE DRAG! And it was yucky! LOL YAY!
Right then peeps, that time has come again for me to work at Latitude Festival! I leave early tomorrow morning and won't be back until next Monday evening.
Hopefully I'll be full of funny stories and lots of silly photographs to show you all upon my return.

Yesterday, Friday 3rd July 2009, this happened less than half a mile from my house. I was woken up at 6.50am by screaming sirens, lots of them.
There are many reports on our local newspaper's website but this says it all quite well and this one tells of all the tributes made to the younger of the two victims.

I am SO sorry! Oh honey! No, they did NOT deserve to die.
a few years ago, my ex fiancee's brother was murdered. He was like a brother to ME and quite often looked out for me. Now, he was a drug dealer as well and did some not so nice things. a LOT of them actually. He was shot in the back twice, but was still alive when he was buried in the mesa here. I miss him a lot actually and know that LOTS wouldnt have happened to me if he were still alive. He would take care of ex's if they got too mean and well being like a sister, I was spoiled!
Its never easy honey. I am soo sorry and will keep you and Tessie (as always) and both boys families and friends in my thoughts and prayers.

We got an offer of $3300 for the car, we need to pay for the roadworthy out of that and any repairs it needs to pass, but we should have at least $3000 after all of that is paid. And its a big engine on it, V6, so it costs a bit to run even though its on LPG. So no car = savings of about $50 a week on fuel, which is awesome.
I apply for my visa at the end of the month. Starting to get nervous about it all

Soooo...finally caught up on your blogs! Here is the outpouring of random comments I made to myself along the way...
That cake is an outrage!
I knew you would come round to the way of daily exercise! I feel crappy if I dont get to the gym for a workout before I start work! It really does make you feel good! Im slowly making progress toning up but its kinda hindered by the amount of junk food I eat...
Glad your Nanny and your friend Guy are doing better too!
Really glad you went to see The King Blues I had a feeling you would love them
I think its absolutely amazing that you are considering fostering. When I hear you talk about your lodgers its always amazing to hear about the bond you have and its obvious you want to make a difference. You have so much to give and will provide a really nuturing home. Good luck with the whole process we will all be there to support you all the way! I hope the meeting on Friday goes well. I know it will!
Im really really trying to save up to get a new tattoo and failing miserably. I need to be inked be the end of the year. I cant go more than a year without a new tattoo! Agghh!

Hey doll! Long time eh? Ignore last blog. Having a bad life. Fuck it. Glad to see you so enthusiastic! Keep that exercise routine up- it seems to be doing the trick! I'm in a similar mode actually: off drink for a month, and forcing myself to go and do proper shopping and proper eating. I'm so crap at looking after myself it's ridiculous, but I'm actually doing a fairly good job at the moment.

Considering I'm a complete atheist and have reasonably sharp opinions about organised religion and it's part in the history of civilisation I'm a surprising fan of churches. I suppose it's the Leni Riefenstahl argument: can you hate good art that was used for the wrong reasons?
