I went to a different AT&T store tonight to get my new iPhone and they said they could put in a request to see if I could get the new iPhone 3G s for the new contract price. If I can I'll be saving around $200. They also were kind enough to give me a loaner phone till we hear back. The first AT&T store I went to told me I was boned for the most part and there was nothing they could do to help me but this store went out of their way to help me. I plan to register a complaint about the first store and give kudos to the second store through customer service. SO cross your fingers that I might get the cheaper price for my phone.
