It's hard to comment on Michael Jackson's sudden and tragic death in a measured way. There are two camps, it seems. The devoted fans, for whom everything about him was glorious. And the cynics, who are deeply critical of his lifestyle and behaviour. There is a part of you that wants to say, Well, yes, it's very sad, but he is just one among many who died too early. As you know, the press don't really do morally ambigious, it has to be black and white for the purpose of selling more units to the braying mob. Undoubtedly, he led a very bizarre life, and had an amazing career. It's interesting how people feel they own a piece of public figures. x
He certainly had his problems
but he undeniably possessed an unforgettable genius.
Rest in Peace.
