I'm writing a job application at the moment, its tough. I have to write over 2500 words on competancies and supporting evidence. Showing where and when I gained the knowledge skills and experience. Each section is to be 200 words If the section is significantly over 200 words it will be discarded. Also I have to include an indepth cover letter but no cv.
Its not easy.
So far since yesterday I've written the seven evidence section... fuckin' hell, I sound good and I'm now working theough the competancy sections. Fingers cross I get it, it will be a brilliant job. It'll mean leaving the UK, but hell I've done that before. My family will follow after I've arrived. Plus I get accomodation allowance and school fees on top of the salary.
We've all got colds and sore throats at the moment, which is a bit yuck... I've never seen so much green snot dribbling out of childrens noses before.
My husband is going in to work tomorrow to see the HR director regarding returning to work because of the stress related issues that its caused him. I really hope he gets better soon. It maybe fortuitous though as if I get the job the change will do him a world of good.
Downside is is that I'll have to quit my MA before it's even started. It would have been good if this job poped up in a years time after I'd completed it as I'd be in a much stronger position to get it. Now I have to rely on spin and PR regarding my skill sets.
