I need to wash my hands more often when I go out in public. Seriously. People are nasty. There are so many germs and infections and gross cooties that can get on you when you go out to a store or a mall or a restaurant. Apparently, something must have attached itself to me during the weekend because I woke up several times last night with a very sore throat.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm a generally healthy person, and a very clean one. But I guess it's not enough to wash my hands a few times a day. I guess I've got to be one of those neurotic people who carries a handful of antibacterial towlettes in her purse in order to get through a weekend of antique shopping and dining out in order to stay protected from all the disgusting filth out there. See, because I never get sick when I stay home a lot. Oh, and did you know that the largest catalyst for transferring germs from one person to another is not public bathrooms, but the handles on shopping carts? Yep.
In any case, I'm home in bed on a Tuesday. Day One of the first Fall cold. Neat.
Signed,
