Our very own Lenore starred and produced visual effects (such a talent) for a feature film that has turned into a major international genre film festival hit titled NEIL STRYKER AND THE TYRANT OF TIME!
The film is a light-hearted, 97-minute, sci-fi, action-adventure-comedy that has been described as kind of DR. WHO meets BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA with a LABYRINTH flare. Perhaps a little DIRTY HARRY inside of an old school STAR TREK episode is mixed in there as well. The film guest stars Walter Koenig (Star Trek, Babylon 5) and David Ogden Stiers (M.A.S.H., Stargate Atlantis, Beauty and the Beast). It's meant to be fun and entertaining, a no holds barred indie romp "buy the ticket, take the ride" sort of film.
Yesterday, it was announced that the film won Best Comedy at the 22nd annual London International Festival of Science Fiction and Fantastic Film (aka "Sci-fi London": https://sci-fi-london.com/news/festival/2017/05/sfl-awards-2017. The London fest even invented a "Best Film Q&A" award for Lenore and her goblin cast mate after they ravaged the London audience.
London marked the fifth major international stop for Lenore's small Portland, Oregon -based film. In December, Lenore's film won the Indie Spirit Award in Sydney, Australia, at the 10th annual A Night of Horror and Fantastic Planet Film Festival. In February and March, the film screened at the 35th annual Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF) (Belgium) and the 37th annual Fantasporto (Portugal). This May, the film made its Italian premiere alongside Ridley Scott's ALIEN COVENANT at Future film Festival in Bologna, Italy.
The film was made entirely in Portland, Oregon, by local artists over the course of ten years. The film was released in the US/Canada on demand on April 11th and is now available in the USA/Canada on demand everywhere including Amazon, ITunes, VUDU, Google Play, Dish Network, PlayStation, Xbox.
