Last night my girlfriend and I went to a performance of Tom Stoppard's "Travesties" at the Sydney Opera House. It's always been a dream of mine to see an Opera there, but there weren't any playing. Still it was an excellent performance - night on the harbour with a glass of wine in hand was quite enjoyable.
It's also the nicest view I've ever had during a theater intermission. If you haven't seen Travesties it's Zurich during the war and main characters are Tristan Tzara, James Joyce and Vladimir Lenin. It's quite fun.

I was toying with the idea of coming out for a couple months to live & really get a feel for the city. Unfortunately, I seem to be on a strong career track, so I'll be in the SF area for awhile. But if I start to hate the new job, or if I get fired, I'll definitely be headed that way. And I will be doing my best to find good food, so I will keep your reccommendation in mind.

Yeah. I think I lost $20. It went much worse than my blackjack.
