I've been in Vancouver for almost two months now. The pace of things has been crazy! I rarely have a day to myself to just rest or catch up on things. It's been good though. I have a ton of great friends here. I've taken lots of small trips, like to Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands recently. Lots of exciting things have happened.
On our multi-island tour we stopped on Pender Island to see about a house for rent. It was placed in our lives by a set of strange synchronicities and available exactly when we needed to move, so it seemed like a good idea to at least consider it. Getting yourself out of the way and following the path of least resistance (and most excitement!) often leads to the most amazing and unexpected places, and the universe was making this too easy. It turned out to be even better than we guessed! It fulfills dreams I didn't expect to be possible for years. I guess keeping an open mind has helped, as I didn't know anything about Pender before and it's a huge change from city life. I can't wait to get settled there and share the experience with you.
As for now, I'm preparing for a trip to Thailand. Normally I'd be going crazy with stress and anxiety, but I'm just a little tired. All the meditation and other things I've been posting about have really made life easier in that way.
Speaking of writing, I've been writing lots still and working on secret projects. I started to feel drained from blogging so much. I think I was putting too much time and energy in it for what I was getting back. I was neglecting myself in many ways. Overall it was a good push in a new direction though, and I'll still blog in a more casual way.
I should go do some packing or something!
