it's been a near perfect day in the chicago 'burbs today, and i've finally got some free time, so i decided to stop lurking and finally put up a profile. a lot of people seem super nice on this site, and it's time to try something new. well i should probably write about myself.
i live in the chicago area, and work in a record store. i'm kind of reclusive, single and i would guess, kind of private. to indicate: this is kind of hard, not really used to talking about myself. i'm buddhist, i listen to and make experimental music, and am in a freenoise rock band called bionic rat. i also coedit a small circulation literary magazine.
anyway, a quick question about tattoos: i'm an african-american, and i've heard that alot of parlours use less experienced artists on darker skin. is that true? are there artists in chicago familiar with writing sanskrit?
