HEARSE FOR SALE!!!!
1965 Cadillac Miller Meteor Paramount Duplex Hearse Ambulance
65,000 original miles! Hearse/ambulance combination coach. RARE ONE OF A KIND style! From what I've heard, the Duplex I have is a rare one. Only a few made in this style that year, and it does not have the removable panels, instead has the Paramount windows. I will be finishing up the work we started on it and cleaning it up more until we sell it. It did not run when we bought it. This car has a clear title. I hate to part with this one due to its rarity, but I gotta get it outta storage!
Solid body, mainly surface rust. Floor pans in front will need replaced, as well as seat cover and headliner. Dash is in great condition, no cracks and all instruments work, including clock. Glove box opens and closes with ease. Visors are in good condition. Windshield will need replaced; crack goes from one side to almost the other, but drivable condition. Passenger side Paramount window glass needs replaced. Interior lights work, and when you open the back door, the bottom of the tail lights come on. Interior decorative lights in back work as well, and are in great condition. Head and tail lights all work. Back headliner is in great condition, as well as jump seats. Floor in back is questionable, it is ok, but I would replace it if you are looking to restore this car. Panels on floor lift and flip with ease, although rollers will need cleaned and lubed. Landaus are in good condition, will need rechromed. Does not have a vinyl top as do most hearses. Compartments in back are intact and in great condition. Not sure if generator behind drivers seat works, but looks very much intact with good wiring. All windows roll down, but window channels need replaced. Wing vent windows both work. Side view mirror glass needs replaced. Mechanically, it starts and runs, I wouldnt risk driving it yet. BIG 429 ci 7.0L, 4bl V8 engine! Part of electric choke assembly needs repaired, or just a carb rebuild. Needs a new exhaust system. Brake fluid was put in, and no leaks are present there, they just need bled.
