odd how in this bubble land of ill-communique, you sometimes connect with a random person. and you actually enjoy chatting, you're not being coy, you're not bored, there are things you want to talk about, but online chats can only do so much. it's rather like trying to hold a conversation in a noisy bar-short, chopped up sentences, no details. details require a commitment to typing. so how does one correctly go about initiating a meeting, face to face? what's the etiquette for that? i actually am genuinely interested in being able to hear this persons voice, and hear their laughter, instead of "lol." everyone, including myself, is so cautious these days. we have our small clutch of friends, and it seems very difficult to mesh and trust others.

I recommend meeting them for coffee in your favourite cafe. There's people around so you don't have to worry about them hitting you over the head and dragging you away, and you can size them up fairly well (cool/weirdo/psychopath). Of course the biggest weirdo's hide it pretty well. Meeting face to face is best.
