Today a long awaited human arrived, squeezing her way out of my friend's pee-pee, guaranteed to give me a smiley face every time I see her. She is cute as a button and makes kitten noises! It's adorable.
It's almost sad to think how happy her birth makes me; most of the parents I know are single parents, mommy or daddy (or both) never wanted the baby, and they were the children labeled "mistakes". Who wants to be an oops? You can feel it as you grow up and it fucks you up forever. But this is so wonderful because two of my best friends are sooooooo happy to have their little girl. They are so happy together. They are one of only three couples I envy. I want what they have.
It's so nice to see a baby be planned and wanted and know that she will grow up to have such an advantage over the majority of kids today. She will be super loved.
