Don't feel too bad, I had to quit drinking a while back. I still cheat and do it sometimes, but it's not like the old days. I drink more then a shot or two or hard liquor (and sometimes even that much) and I'm rolling around on the ground in pain. Beer and champagne give me headaches when they don't make me puke. Wine is pretty much the only thing I can drink a lot of, but the hangovers are more intense then anything I ever would have imagined when I first started drinking, and when the liquor wears off my heart starts racing.
Still, I do enjoy a half shot of Maker's Mark in some ice cold water to sip on every once in a while - the taste is just awesome. I do the same thing with the Bacardi Anejo - it tastes so good I'm almost glad I can't drink to excess anymore - otherwise I'd be a skeeve drunk.
You should pick up some cuban cigars while you're down there, if you smoke that is. If you're interested, let me know and I can make some suggestions as to which ones are supposed to be worth buying and about how much they should cost (tourist towns charge above msrp, obviously, but still).
