I watched "Michael Moore Hates America".
It's an interesting movie on some of the lies and misleading edits that Michael Moore puts in his films. I'm glad someone finally made one.
Check it out.

Although I don't agree with the film makers overt images of "You can be what ever you want to be." I do like that he points out that people like Michael Moore are not solving problems but possibly making them worse.
It's true that we have more freedoms then a lot of other countries BUT that's in thanks to our brilliant forefathers who wrote a strong constitution and a bill of rights. If those documents didn't exist I feel the government would have a stronger hold meaning less freedoms.......
But....... That's in MHO.
Of course there was mention of my favorite new phrase "we are fighting for America's freedom".
One thing that is frustrating to me is this delusion that soldiers are fighting in Iraq for our freedom. It's become the new unofficial slogan for the military "We're fighting so you can keep your freedom." NO, you're fighting for others' freedom. I'm ok with the US helping out those who are being ruled by a tyrannical leader or government BUT please don't give this interpretation that our soldiers are currently working to maintain our freedom. We've had our freedom since 1783 (after the end of the American Revolutionary War) and have not had that freedom threaten since then. We have not had any wars with other countries trying to invade or take over the U.S.
War of 1812: U.S. declares war on Britain.
American Civil War: We fought ourselves
WWI: A European war. Germany did make some threats to use Mexico and Japan as allies against the U.S. if we joined the war. Meaning a possible invasion by Mexico and Japanese immigrants. That never took place.
WWII: A European, Asian and South East Asian war. We didn't get involved until provoked by Japan during the Pearl Harbor attack. We were not at threat for invasion.
Cold-War: Never involved any actual battles. There were threats of Nuclear attack but that threatens our lives, not our freedoms.
Vietnam: A war between North and South Vietnam.
Persian Gulf War: A war to liberate Kuwait from Iraq.
Invasion of Iraq or 2nd Persian Gulf War: A war to protect the world from WOMD...Opps....nevermind. A war to liberate Iraq from it's oppressive government.
So, some might read this and think "Oh another person who doesn't support our troops". No, I support our troops and I wish people where more supportive by seeing what they are actually risking their lives for. Please don't become a part of the mass delusion that they are fighting for our freedom. They are fighting for others freedoms and possibly for unknown special interests.
Our lost of freedoms can't be fought for by our military. Why? Our freedoms are being threaten by ourselves through the government. The more laws and acts and bills that are set into motion to limit our liberties and protect us from ourselves, limits our freedoms. Laws, acts and bills made to protect us from being offended by others limits our voice and free will. All non-violent disputes should be handled between the parties that are involved, not by the police or government. If we leave it to the latter then laws will be put in place to make it easier for the police and government to maintain us. Am I saying the government is evil for wanting to build a stronger influence in our everyday lives? No, I'm saying that people are evil for being ignorant and lazy and asking for more control because they don't feel like handling issues themselves. People are evil for thinking that all should abide by their morals and mores. If you don't like a certain music, don't listen to it. If you don't like a certain image, don't look at it. If you don't agree with what a store sells, don't go into it. If you don't like what your neighbor is doing and feel like you're affected by it, talk to them rationally. There are so many things we can solve on our own with out getting the government or police involved.
Ok, I'm done ranting.

I agree with you that we are losing our freedoms at home. The democratic party has turned socialist and its scary. I was born and raised a southern democrat and used to consider myself somewhat liberal, but the democratic party has turned so socialist its scary. Political correctness is leading to the death of the first ammendment. I am smart enough to make my own decisions about what i read, look at and listen too, and to anybody that thinks its the republicans censoring free speech. Tipper Gore(Al's wife) started the warning labels on records as well as trying to censor them, and Joe Leiberman is behind the group that wants to censor what you see on television. I am not saying the republicans are angels they are not, but the democrats are not angels either.
That's a major exaggeration, of course, but I took a military history class recently that blew my goddamn head off
