The market economy rewards some art - most of it profoundly elitist in nature, or commercial derivations of challenging work that is watered down to the point that it no longer requires thought or meaning - a recontextualized emasculated version fit for consumption by the masses.
I am and have always been an artist, but I have lost my way in the pursuit of financial security. I thought the money would make me safe, allow me to do the things I want without compromising the work's integrity. Instead, I have found myself lost - and am on an orienteering mission to find my way back to the source, the inspiration that drove me to create - whatever the cost.
Look at me screaming and weeping pounding my fists into my chest while begging for acceptance...
