ah! how funny.
it's been awhile since i logged on, but people were interested in my dating experiences!
well, why not write them now.
the girl i mentioned before, her name was karla. she was... stunning. small with dark hair, a nose ring and pretty eyes. i liked her a lot. we went out twice. i wanted to kiss her... i wanted to do anything to get closer to her. i was much taller than her. she was lovely and sweet. we talked about a lot but i was always feeling awkward and shy. we wandered bookstores and had tea, she took me to her place and we listened to cbc radio one for hours. we went to a movie once. i left her a copy of my favourite book as a kid which we'd talked all about one night. i put it in her mailbox on a pouring rain day with a note. she liked it, we emailed more. she got busy. i didn't see her again after that...
she got back together with her ex.
i was hurt, but just happy to have met her.
then i met miranda. she was spunky and loud, opinionated and fire-haired. we went out for drinks and laughed really hard. i went back to her place... it was one room and dirty and smokey, but i was happy to be there anyway. she showed me 'spinal tap', which i don't remember much of. we smoked a joint and i fell asleep beside her on the mattress on the floor.
we made plans later but she kept cancelling. after the third let-down, we lost touch.
then nikole. she was playing in a band at a show my friends were playing. i'd had a couple drinks so i told her i thought she was cute and played the bass really well. she hugged me and took my email address. we've talked a lot on msn, flirted a little. somehow our plans have never meshed, so i haven't seen her since.
i am currently seeing a boy... who i like, a lot. he's thin and gorgeous and his hair hangs in his eyes. he plays every instrument with passion. he cooks me dinner always and shows me how, asks for my help. we debate movies for hours; he likes when i show him my favourites.
so maybe my experiences with pretty girls didn't go so well... but i think i'm doing well as it is.
(though i still want to kiss them.)
